Purchasing a Hand Gun In The State of MI

As of Feb 13th 2024 when you purchase a hand gun in the State of MI you either need to have your CPL or a Pistol Purchase Permit from your local Police Department. This includes AR Pistols and any other firearm classified as a pistol. There is no exception to this as it is Michigan Law.

You may be criminally and civilly liable for any harm caused by a person less than 18 years of age who lawfully gains unsupervised access to your firearm if unlawfully stored.
